THREE KINGS DAY – Jan. 6th: It is not officially a holiday in Lower Saxony but some Catholics and Orthodox Christians celebrate it as a kind-of- second Christmas or the actual Christmas. We wish everyone a happy Three Kings Day!

SLED DOG RACING – HARZ – Jan. 5th-6th 

Do you ever wanted to see a dog sled racing? Then head to Pullman City in the Harz Mountains where the annual sled dog racing takes place from 10 am to 3 pm. More information here.

WOLFENBÜTTEL CITY CHAMPIONSHIP – Jan. 3rd-5th

The yearly seek for Wolfenbüttels best football (soccer) team will take place at the Ravensberger Straße. 14 teams from the city and surrounding boroughs are participating. The defending champions are the MTV Wolfenbüttel. The entry fee costs around 3€ and there will be traditional German snacks, which might not be vegan, and drinks available. More information here.
