INTERNATIONAL LABOR DAY – May 1st: In Germany the labor day is a national holiday, so shops will be closed. You should take care when visiting larger cities, as demonstrations are expected to occur.

GAUSS FRIENDS: GAUSS‘ BIRTHDAY – Apr. 30th

The Gauss Friends will celebrate the birthday of the namesake Carl Friedrich Gauss with art, music, theatre and food. The event will start at 6:00 pm at the State Museum of Braunschweig. More information here.

BRAUNSCHWEIG: MAIFEST – Apr. 30th

The Schuntille hosts its traditional Maifest with music, dance, drinks and the traditional burning of the large statue at midnight. Tickets are available for 2,50€ at certain dates at the mensa and for 5€ at the door. The party starts at 9:00 pm. More information here.

BRAUNSCHWEIG: INTERNATIONAL FEST – May 1st

The Gauss Friends will participate at this year’s international fest at the Bürgerpark and will host a mini flea and exchange market to which you are free to contribute. More information here.
