ASCENSION OF CHRIST AND FATHER’S DAY – May 30th

In Germany we celebrate the Ascension of Christ and Father’s Day, so that most shops are closed this day. For that reason you will most likely see a group of people, mostly male, with carts roaming the streets and the countryside drinking beer and doing barbecues.

BRAUNSCHWEIG INTERNATIONAL – June 1st

Around 30 associations representing different countries and cultural backgrounds will gather at the Kohlmarkt in Braunschweig. The fest starts at 11:00 am and will include musical and cultural presentations. More information here.

BRAUNSCHWEIG: TRIAL COURSES: DANISH, SWEDISH, FINNISH – June 1st

In line with the game-evening with S.O.S., you will have the opportunity to get an insight in the North-european languages. During the 30-minute trial course you can learn simple phrases in Danish, Swedish or Finnish. The trial courses start at 7pm at the Gauss Haus. More information here.

BRAUNSCHWEIG: RUSSIA – June 4th

Russia is more than just Vodka, Sbornaja and cold weather. Learn more about the world’s largest country at the Gauss Haus starting at 7pm. Russian music and food will be accompany the evening and will give you a nice glimpse of how Russia really is. More information here.
