The first edition of this year’s Sommerokerbühne will take place this Thursday. The series features local artists playing a show next to the Oker and at the TU. It starts at 8pm. The show is free.  More information here.

GAUSS FRIENDS: FESTA JULINA – July 5th

You are cordially invited to our Festa Julina on July 5th! We kindly ask you to bring a plate of food, sweets or drinks! If possible, please confirm your attendance with Claudia via WhatsApp (+49 01522 4046144) to have a better organization of the event. We are looking forward to your attendance! Festas Juninas  (June Festivals), also known as festas de São João for their part in celebrating the nativity of St. John the Baptist (June 24), are the annual Brazilian celebrations adapted from European Midsummer that take place in the southern midwinter. These festivities, which were introduced by the Portuguese during the colonial period (1500-1822), are celebrated during the month of June nationwide. The festival is mainly celebrated on the eves of the Catholic solemnities of Saint Anthony, Saint John the Baptist, and Saint Peter. More information here.

BRAUNSCHWEIG: MUSIKUM – July 6th

The annual Musikum Festival, featuring mainly local rock and indie bands, will take place at the Schuntille next to the student’s dorm. The festival is free of charge. Drinks, food  and merchandise will be purchasable. More information here.
