BRAUNSCHWEIG: PUBLIC CLIMATE SCHOOL – Nov. 25th-29th

The “Students for Future” are committed to environmental protection and organized a “Public Climate School” with a program of lectures and actions on environmental protection and climate change. The events take place at the TU Braunschweig and the HBK and are free for everyone (not only for students). More information here.

 

 

BRAUNSCHWEIG: WINTER IS COMING! – starting from Nov. 27th
Like every winter, the Braunschweig Christmas Market is opened in the week before the first Advent. This Christmas market is one of the most popular and beautiful Christmas markets in northern Germany and offers a variety of products at over 150 stands (food, crafts, jewelery, toys, candles and much more). It is particularly recommendet to climb the stairs of the Town Hall tower (for free) to see the winter wonderland from above.
At the same time every winter there is an ice skating rink at the Braunschweiger Kohlmarkt. Admission costs 3,50 € for 90 minutes, skates can be rented for 3 €.

BRAUNSCHWEIG: CLOTHES EXCHANGE PARTY – Nov. 29th, 18:00 – 21:00 o’clock
If your old clothes have been hanging in the closet for a long time and you feel like doing something new, you can get rid of them at the clothes exchange party in the KaufBar and exchange them for the clothes of other visitors. Perfect for all fans of thrifting! More information here:

 

BRAUNSCHWEIG: LECTURE “GLOBAL WARMING – WHAT IS IT? –  Nov. 30th, 11:00 o’clock
You probably hear some news about the change of the climate system daily. But what does climate change actually mean? Will it simply be nice and warm in the future, or will the change of the environment maybe even cause the end of humanity? A polar researcher comes to the Haus der Wissenschaft to talk about the current situation and the consequences of global warming. Further information here.
