Here they are: Your weekly fresh Gauss-Tips for Feb. 5th – 12th

Braunschweig, art exhibition: winterkunstzeit – Feb. 5th – 8th., 12 – 7 p.m. + Feb. 9th, 1:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Five days full of creativity in the city center of Braunschweig – the winterkunstzeit art exhibition brings regional artists and culture workers into public space and makes their work visible and tangible for everyone. With various exhibitions, exciting performances and hands-on activities, the creative people show the diversity of their work areas.
Regional artists, students, associations and galleries show their works in public places, museums, shopping centers and department stores. Visitors can experience the creation of works of art live and are entertained by a cultural framework program.
Places of the exhibition are Kohlmarkt, Schloss-Arkaden shopping center, the Braunschweig Schloss Museum, the Jaeschke gallery and many more. Admission is free.

Braunschweig, board and card game night: An evening full of games – Feb. 7th, 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Under the motto “An evening full of games” there is a game event in the city library at Schloss. Game advisors are available to help everyone discover and try out the right game from the extensive range of around 2,500 games. Admission is free.
The offer is aimed at board and card game enthusiasts of all ages, because gaming knows no age. Quote from George Bernhard Shaw: “We don’t stop playing because we become old, we become old because we stop playing”. The city library offers a wide variety of board, dice and card games. There is a suitable game for everyone who likes to have fun and cannot escape the fascination of playing. Playing games connects different groups across generations and borders.

Braunschweig: Film & Lecture: Aosta and Piemonte – Feb. 10th, 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Piedmont, the “country at the foot of the mountains” and the Aosta Valley in Italy are still an insider tip among travelers. Hugged by the snow-capped and highest peaks in Europe, the landscape looks magical. In the green valleys dominated by high rock cathedrals, remains of the Roman period and other valuable evidence of past life can be admired. The film and lecture at Haus der Wissenschaft show one of the most enchanting and undisturbed regions in Europe. Tickets are available from 7:00 p.m., the event starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost € 6 per person. More information is available here.
