Braunschweig, concert: PTB-Bigband – March 12th, 7:30 p.m.
The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is the world of atomic clocks and measuring devices. However, on Thursday it will become the world of music. The big band of PTB employees, founded 32 years ago, rehearses weekly and regularly plays in front of an audience. The concert takes place in the lecture hall in the Kohlrauschbau (Bundesallee 100), admission is free. Further information is available here.

Braunschweig, travel lecture: In exchange frenzy around the world (from an apple to a dream house) – March 13th, 7:00 pm


Michael Wigge is a multi-award-winning travel journalist and bestselling author with great ambition. He wants to solve another seemingly impossible task. Braunschweig, jazz concert: Emile Parisien Quartet – March 14th, 7:00 p.m.
Saxophonist Emile Parisien is one of the leading protagonists of French jazz: a visionary who connects the past with the distant future. That makes him “the best news of European jazz in a long time” (Le Monde). Parisien plays everything from the folkloric tradition of his homeland to the compositional strategies of new music to the melodic and harmonic abstraction of free jazz. The result sounds furious and is a great listening pleasure – an adventure trip of contemporary jazz. Parisien was awarded the most important jazz awards in France.
