This year New Year’s Eve will be different than perhaps many would like, but for that you can participate in your favorite event without leaving your room. The DJ Flux VJ streams music during New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, always from a country where the new year is just beginning, and for each of the 38 time zones in the world. It starts at 9 a.m. German time, when the year 2021 begins on the Line Islands. This will be followed by music from Samoa, Australia, Korea, Myanmar, India, Iran, Tanzania, France, Brazil, New York, Alaska and Baker Island, among others.

Electric cars – climate sinners or climate savers? An online lecture with discussion by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Herrmann. Electric mobility and electric vehicles are repeatedly the focus of public criticism because they are at least as harmful to the environment as conventional combustion vehicles. In particular, the production of the battery ensures that e-vehicles start their life cycle with a larger CO2 backpack than conventional cars. However, to ensure a fair comparison, a holistic ecological approach is required. This presentation will highlight problem areas, challenges, but also environmental opportunities of electric mobility and show why electric vehicles are an important part of sustainable mobility in the future.
