Online Book Presentation: Xanti Schawinsky – Apr. 21st at 7:00 pm

Xanti Schawinsky (1904-1979) was a master of improvisation. Whether in stage design, as a photographer, or artistic creator of exhibition buildings and large-scale photomontages, his surprising ideas accompanied him from the Dessau Bauhaus to Black Mountain College to New York University.

The event will take place via Zoom. Click here for the meeting.

Digital offer: VERSCHLINGERIN – Premiere! – Apr. 22nd, 23rd and 24th at 8:00pm.

In VERSCHLINGERIN Katharina Böhl, Hanne Scharnhorst (née Böhl) and Alba Scharnhorst tell as mothers and daughters about three generations of women. Of three closely intertwining stories, three symptomatologies that go through the stomach. Of three minds and three ideas of how a girl, a woman, a grandmother, a mother or a daughter should be, may be and yet never wants to become. In a fairytale-associative and autobiographical film, they encounter their ideas of each other, narrate as a character player and performer about hair, with hair, of hair, and negotiate the contradictions of mother-daughter relationships in surreal and memory-laden spaces.

50 min. online stream + 40 min. artist talk via Zoom.

Tickets from 5,- € at Theater Fadenschein.
