Open Air – Jewish Cinema: Displaced (2020) by Sharon Ryba-Kahn September 9th, 2021 at 8:30 pm

Filmmaker Sharon Ryba-Kahn has a difficult relationship with her home country Germany, as she belongs to the third generation of survivors of the Shoah. When her father contacts her after seven years, she begins to reconstruct her family history. Through this, she wants to better understand the life of her paternal family. This look into the past raises questions in particular about the relationship of non-Jewish society to history.

Fair Week 2021 – September 10th to 26th, 2021

From September 10th to 26th, Fair in Braunschweig e.V. wants to inform, discuss and show solidarity for a humane and sustainable economy here and everywhere under the motto “ZUKUNFT FAIR GESTALTEN – #FAIRHANDELN FÜR MENSCHENRECHTE WELTWEIT” in Braunschweig. The Mayor Ulrich Markurth has taken over the patronage of the action weeks again this year. The theme shows how a humane and sustainable economy can be shaped. 

Various workshops, city tours, exhibitions, film screenings and more will take place during the fair weeks.
