Online-Program: Frankfurt Book Fair 2021 until October 24th, 2021

The Frankfurt Book Fair (German: Frankfurter Buchmesse, FBM) is the world’s largest trade fair for books, based both on the number of publishing companies represented, and the number of visitors. It is considered to be the most important book fair in the world for international deals and trading. This annual event is being held at the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds in Frankfurt am Main, Germany until October 24th. This year’s special guest is Canada. Even if you are not able go to Frankfurt, there’s an extensive program online with different presentations, discussions and conferences.

Art exhibition: Markus Wollenschlaeger – painting and sculptures   until October 29th, 2021

The exhibition at RipArt, the painter and sculptor Markus Wollenschlaeger, whose imaginative and color-intensive paintings, sculptures and objects can be assigned to the “Art Brut”, the “Outsider Art” and also the art of the group “Cobra”, shows his artworks in Braunschweig at Handelsweg 11-12 in the “RipArt”, formerly Riptide. As a guest exhibitor Jürgen Mennecke presents his detailed, fine drawings.

Born in 1962, Wollenschlaeger studied fine arts at the HBK Braunschweig and has been a freelance painter and sculptor since 1995.

Día de los Muertos – November 2nd, 2021 at 7:00 pm

The Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday developed from ancient traditions dated to 2500-3000 years ago. It’s one of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritages by Humanity. For several years we celebrate this day in Gauss Haus. This year we prepare again a full program from 7:00 pm for you in Gauss Haus.
