Bike demo – On bikes for Solidarity – November 20th, 2021 at 2:00 pm

The Youth Against Fascism is organizing a bicycle demonstration in Braunschweig on November 20th. Starting at 2:00 pm on the Schlossplatz we show clear edge against any right-wing hate and agitation that we have to endure in Braunschweig.

On site at the Schlossplatz there will first be several speeches, which will be held by Youth against Fascism itself and the associated youth organizations. Because in the past, it was mainly the youth organizations that stood up for a diverse and tolerant society and thus often became the target of right-wing violence.

Braunschweig Christmas Market – November 24th to December 29th, 2021

The history of the Christmas market in the Lion City dates back to 1505. As one of the most atmospheric and attractive markets in northern Germany, it attracts many people to Braunschweig every year.

The traditional Braunschweig Christmas market will take place again in 2021 after a year’s break due to the pandemic. In the atmospherically illuminated ensemble of historic buildings around the St. Blasii Cathedral and Dankwarderode Castle, around 115 lovingly decorated stalls attract visitors to the Christmas market. The artisans offer inspiring gift ideas such as handmade wooden products, creative jewelry designs, warming felt and wool products and individual Advent decorations. Culinary specialties from Braunschweig and the region as well as Christmas treats will delight the palate.

Strict hygiene measures apply to the Christmas market. More information here.
