Art exhibition: Shrinking Bodies by Mone Schliephack – March 3rd, 2022 at 8:00 pm

In the experience of the digital, analog and multiple, virtual realities overlap, in which the body can only locate itself with difficulty or not at all. The graphic works of Mone Schliephack can be understood as pictorial investigations of body perceptions in digital and physical spaces. In doing so, the artist is concerned with convicting the idea that the body is located in a single reality as outdated, while at the same time confronting the question of whether bodies will shrink in the increasingly digital future.

Mone Schliephack studied at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Basel. Since 2014, she has been a professor of drawing and illustration at the Department of Design at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, Peter Behrens School of Arts.

The exhibition will take place until April 10th, 2022.
