Art exhibition GROSS FORM ART 2022 – until December 31st, 2022

Combining contemporary art in urban space with the art form “Postgraffiti Art”: That is the declared goal of GROSS FORM ART.

In 2021, the budding Urban Art Gallery realized its first work with N.O.Madski on the Discobunker at Kalenwall.

GROSS FORM ART invites regional, but also national and international artists to Braunschweig to create so-called “murals” – large-format murals – on building façades throughout the city. In this way, Braunschweig’s gray walls are transformed into breathtaking works of art, giving rise to the region’s first freely accessible museum of façade art. With a collection that grows every year and can be supplemented with new works in the various neighborhoods of the city.

In August 2022, three more murals were created in Braunschweig. Interested visitors can find the artworks in public spaces at the following locations in Braunschweig:

In addition to the 2021 work by N.O.Madski at the Discobunker on Kalenwall, the two works by Polish artist Mariusz Waras (M CITY) and Spanish artist MARTI SAWE are located in the Kultviertel near the Wallstraße parking garage. In Kuhstraße in the Magniviertel, the Hanoverian artist KARTEL has implemented a large-scale mural.
