WIR SINGEN OHNE CALLAS IM REGEN – until August, 22nd

After lengthy field research, Hans Peter Litscher was able to uncover a very peculiar connection of his guest Kuno O. with the house of the Allgemeiner Konsumverein. The exhibition, which has now been set up after lengthy delays due to the pandemic, is based on the partly enigmatic testimonies of his visits to the exhibition, or more precisely; on the memory carvings of Kuno O..

Hans Peter Litscher (Lucerne/Paris) has come to Braunschweig again for this and will explain some things in special guided tours.

Opening hours:

  • Thursday from 6:00 pm. to 10:00 pm.
  • Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 pm. to 6:00 pm.

Soft Capsules – Master students of the University of Art Braunschweig – August 4th to 29th

The Kunstverein Braunschweig (Art association Braunschweig) is pleased to present in a summer exhibition works of this year’s master students of the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig (HBK – University of Art Braunschweig). For the third time, the Kunstverein is making its entire premises available to showcase the quality and diversity of artistic production in Braunschweig. The media spectrum of the 18 international artists represented in the exhibition ranges from painting and sculpture to film and performance.

The title Soft Capsules takes up the cellular sequence of spaces that architecturally defines the Kunstverein. In its halls and cabinets, moments of intimate encounter open up with works by artists who are at the beginning of a promising career. At the same time, the spatial parcours, with its possibilities for lingering and moving on, is emblematic of studying at an art academy, which is characterized by exchange, inspiration, and shared artistic imagination.
