Städtisches Museum: „Fritz Bauer. Der Staatsanwalt – NS-Verbrechen vor Gericht“ & „Die Tänzerin von Auschwitz. Die Geschichte einer unbeugsamen Frau“ until January 2nd, 2022

The exhibition “Fritz Bauer. The Prosecutor – Nazi Crimes on Trial,” conceived by the Fritz Bauer Institute and the Jewish Museum Frankfurt am Main and on view at the Haus am Löwenwall, documents Fritz Bauer’s life story in the mirror of historical events with many original objects as well as sound and film recordings.

In the exhibition “The Dancer of Auschwitz. The Story of an Indomitable Woman,” visitors learn about the circumstances under which the Jewish Dutchwoman Roosje Glaser was imprisoned in several concentration camps, including Auschwitz, and ultimately survived.

Lecture by art historian Prof. Dr. Olaf Peters: Cave, Grotto, Chapel and the Space of Art – December 16th, 2021 at 6:30 pm

With the Green Grotto, artist Nicolas Party has transformed the domed hall of the Kestner Gesellschaft into an immersive, surreal environment. The monumental, site-specific, temporary installation expands to encompass the entire exhibition space, responding to the building’s particular architecture. How does the perception of an exhibition space change when it becomes a work itself? What happens when a contemporary artist reacts to the Art Nouveau architecture of the old Goseriedebad, citing art historical models or contexts such as Giotto’s frescoes in Padua or Gustave Courbet?

In addition to the on-site event, the conversation will be broadcast live on Zoom.

Santa Gauss – December 24th, 2021 at 6:00 pm

Nobody has to be alone during Christmas Eve. It doesn’t matter to which religion you belong, come and spend the evening with us!

We will provide some food and drinks, but you can bring a dish from your own culture to share with other people. We can also refund the expenses for vegan dishes, if you bring us the receipt and the recipe of the dish.

Why vegan?

The vegan cuisine is the common denominator for vegetarian, halal, kosher or lactose-free food. Nobody should go home hungry because of cultural, ethical or religious differences .

You are cordially invited! Registration is required!
