(English) About us

Internationaler Kreis der Carl Friedrich Gauß Freunde e.V

(English) The international team of Gauss Friends, founded in the year 2008, links the mutual passion for science and enthusiasm of the well-known German mathematician Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss. Thereby, different cultures converge here, which justify the richness of the inter-cultural competences of the international team and contribute consequently to a better world understanding. In this process, the Gauss Friends are characterized by a central idea, and are mutually connected as “guests of Gauss”: Friendship worldwide. True to Gauss’s spirit, many international country evenings, theatre plays and language courses are organized regularly by the Gauss Friends thus providing a bridge between culture and science.

Since 2017, shortly before the 10th anniversary of the Gauss Friends in 2018, the link to the university as part of the positioning at Faculty 6 completed the vision of a firm, structurally anchored establishment of a practiced welcome and consulting culture at TU Braunschweig. In addition to the organization’s activities, the "Gauss Haus Project" of Faculty 6 has created a close exchange within the framework of the university’s structures on the challenges and opportunities of an international university.
