The scientific symposium “Autonomous Driving and Urban Structure” on June 2nd, 2023 is aimed at urban and traffic planners in municipal administrations, scientists as well as experts from the mobility industry. With the symposium, the increasingly relevant topic of autonomous driving will be presented and explained for the first time with a focus on its effects with regard to diverse aspects relevant to urban planning and traffic planning.

On Saturday, June 3rd, the Schlossplatz will be transformed into an open-air exhibition on autonomous driving. The so-called “Public Day” is intended to make Braunschweig’s potential in the field of autonomous and connected driving even better known. For years, Braunschweig has been conducting intensive research into how vehicles can network, i.e. communicate with each other, and how this can lead to greater road safety for all road users in the long term.
