Braunschweig, theme week: Fair Week – September 10th – 26th, different dates

We would need three earths if the entire world population would have the same lifestyle as the people in this country. A change to a sustainable economy and lifestyle is therefore urgently needed. Fair trade is one component of this change, because it helps to sustainably improve the livelihoods of smallholders and employees in the Global South. Braunschweig has been a Fairtrade City since 2013.
As part of the fair week, people and initiatives should be presented who have set out to shape and live other forms of business.

Braunschweig, Kultur im Park – September 2nd to 20th, various dates

Kultur im Park usually takes place in a tent during the summer, but this year the team has put together an exciting, varied and enchanting program in the usual place, just without the tent. Instead, the events are open air and for a shortened period, so that the atmosphere can be enjoyed in a safe way. In the idyllic coffee and beer garden in the shade under large trees, concerts, theater and cabaret take place.

Braunschweig: Film screening “Spoken with Love” – ​​September 10th, 7 pm

The film “Spoken with Love” was made in 2007 and is directed by the Israeli filmmaker Dan Wolman. It is a documentary film about personally influenced and partly generalizable experiences of a Jew in dealing with turbulent and seemingly grotesque memories of the 1920s, National Socialism and the period after 1945, followed by a short lecture and a conversation with the director.
